A number of new self-service book machines are set to be installed in Billingshurst Library next month.
The state-of-the-art terminals, which help readers borrow and return items themselves, are being placed in all branches across the county.
The library, on Mill Lane, will shut at 5pm on Friday November 2 before reopening at 10am on Monday November 19.
People can still borrow as many as 20 books or DVDs before the temporary closure or use nearby branches in Horsham, Pulborough or Petworth.
Lionel Barnard, County Council Deputy Leader responsible for the Library Service, said: “Many readers across West Sussex are already seeing the benefits of the new machines.
“You can print off lists of loaned books, check when something is due for return and even make cash payments.
“They are an easy and efficient method for borrowing items and can be used by everyone.”
