A FLOWER festival held at All Saints Church in Findon Valley celebrated the diamond jubilee on July 4 and 5.

Along with the flower displays which were shown in the church, several nearby gardens opened for the celebrations.

Beverley Miles, the Reverend at All Saints Church, said: “The theme of the flower festival was of course the diamond jubilee, and the displays that were contributed represented people’s favourite hymns of the last 60 years.

“On the Sunday, we held an open air songs of praise service, where we sang many of those favourite hymns.

“The flower festival was wonderful, and we had a steady stream of people coming to see the displays.

“Celia Berrett and Glenda Hill organised the flower displays, some of which were contribed by Brownies and the WI, organisations associated with the Church.
