A young deer had to be rescued after his antlers became stuck in practice nets at Mannings Heath Golf Club.
The buck was cut out of the nets by RSPCA officers, with assistance from staff at the golf club, in the morning of Wednesday September 10.
He was uninjured and was allowed to run back into the wild.
Animal welfare officer Marie Stevens said: “He was actually fortunate to have had such a lucky escape. Deer and other animals can be seriously injured after getting caught up in nets like this, sometimes fatally.”
