Police are appealing for witnesses after a 42-year-old woman was verbally abused by a man outside the Asda Store in South Street, Lancing.
The man swore and was abusive towards the woman about her disability leaving her distraught at about 1.10pm on Thursday June 7.
Police are particularly looking for two women shoppers who stopped and stood with the victim to calm her down.
PC Kat Saunders said: “This was an alarming and upsetting ordeal for the victim. She was too distressed to get home by herself.”
The suspect is described as white, aged in his mid 30s or early 40s, 5ft 10in, of stocky build, brown hair and was wearing a dark coat and jeans.
