Street robbery in Crawley

POLLICE are appealing for seeking witnesses to a Crawley street robbery.

At about 10.40pm on Sunday (March 11) two local men aged 18 and 20 were walking home in Granville Walk, in the Bewbush area of Crawley, when they were threatened by two youths who each produced a knife and took their mobile phones. They also took the 20-year-old’s wallet and passport.

The suspects are both described as white, aged between 16 and 18. One was about 5ft 6in of medium to stocky build, wearing a grey zipped up coat, lighter grey tracksuit bottoms and a t-short around his head.

The second one was about 5ft 8in-10in, of meduim build, wearing a zipped black hoody, and a coat on his head.

Detective Sergeant Dave Morton said; “If anyone saw what happened, or saw this pair of suspects in the area on Sunday night, please call us via 101 quoting serial 1542 of 11/3”
