Rings stolen from Burgess Hill shop

POLICE are investigating after a man walked into a Burgess Hill jewellers and snatched a tray of rings.

At 4.15pm yesterday (Thursday May 3) the man walked into Stoners Jewellers in Church Road, Burgess Hill, snatched the tray of 13 rings, valued at £4,600, and ran out.

He did not attack or threaten anyone, and no weapon was seen.

The man is described as white, about 6ft tall, clean shaven and balding. He was wearing a blue jacket with a red inner lining on the hood, and blue trousers.

Sergeant Gary Jacobs said; “Church Road would have been busy at that time of day and we are asking anyone who saw this man to contact us via 101 quoting serial 1091 of 3/5. You can also call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
