Police donate cash for activity group

Police in Chichester have donated £200 to Rod Tranchant, Chair of West Manhood Venture Bus and £200 to George Thomas who organises an Activity Group at the local community centre; Bracklesham Barn.

The Venture bus collects elderly residents and takes them to social gatherings and shopping trips and the money will help fund this.

The Activity Group is greatly enjoyed by many young people in a rural area with very little else for them to do. They can play volleyball, table tennis, air hockey and play as a team or simply just chat to each other. The money will be used to purchase new equipment.

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
