Man robbed in daylight outside Midhurst bank

Police are seeking witnesses to an incident reported to have taken place outside the Nat West Bank in North Street, Midhurst at 2.30pm on Friday December 21.

The victim, a 34-year old local man, reports that he was walking past the bank when he was punched by the suspect which caused him to fall and then had a small quantity of cash stolen from him as he lay on the ground.

The suspect is described as being white, middle aged, about 5ft 9in and of average build, wearing dark clothing.

PC Trevor Pritchard said; “This is the main street in Midhurst which would have been busy at that time. Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact us via 101 quoting serial 0925 of 21/12. You can also call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 11.”
