Police are seeking a man who robbed staff of cash at knifepoint at the post office in Ditchling.
Sussex Police say it was around 2.15pm yesterday when a member of staff at Ditchling Post Office, Lewes Road, was approached by the man who threatened him with a knife and demanded cash from the till.
The staff member was forced to hand over several hundred pounds and the robber fled on foot into South Street, then into Beacon Road, where he got into a silver car which drove off in the direction of Brighton.
Police do not yet know what make or model the car was. They say the victim was shaken by the incident, but is otherwise unharmed.
The attacker is described as a white man of Mediterranean appearance, aged around 30, 5ft 9ins, and of slim build with black hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a medium grey jacket with a hoody underneath.
DI Neil Ralph said; “Anyone who saw the man, or the car, is asked to contact Sussex Police via email@example.com or call 101, quoting serial 776 of 25/11.”
