Drug crackdown in Bognor ‘a success’

A day of action to combat drugs in Bognor Regis on Monday (October 8) was successful with two misuse of drugs warrants being used.

A search of a premises in Upper Bognor Road found three people a 35-year-old man, a 33-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, who were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled substance.

A quantity of class A drugs (heroin) and class C drugs were found along with some cash and other related articles at one of the addresses.

Another premises search led to more class A drugs (heroin) and a large sum of cash being recovered.

All the suspects were bailed until December 9 for further enquiries.

During a search of properties in the Gordon Avenue area one 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis after a large quantity of herbal cannabis was found.

The man was also arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity. He has been bailed until November 27 for further enquiries.
