Cyclist may have seen Rustington assault

Police are appealing for a cyclist who may have witnessed an assault and robbery in Rustington to come forward.

At around 5.40pm on Wednesday (November 28) a young teenage boy was attacked in New Road, Rustington, and had his Samsung Galaxy Apollo mobile phone stolen.

A cyclist was passing by at the time and police believe they may have seen something that might lead to identifying the offender.

The victim was hit, but was not seriously injured.

The suspect is described as being a white boy aged 15-16, of thin build, clean shaven with short hair and wearing a black woollen zipped jumper and light brown chino-style trousers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1257 of 28/11.
