Burglaries at Haywards Heath

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to two burglaries in Haywards Heath town centre overnight on Friday (April 20).

A Hewlett Packard laptop and disused safe were stolen sometime between 5.30pm on Friday and 9am Saturday from the United Reform Church on South Road, Haywards Heath.

Police are also investigating a break-in and untidy search within the Action For Children Streetmate offices, and an attempted burglary at another shop in the town centre at that time.

PC Gillian Sadler said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area or who has information on these incidents, all of which happened within a few hours.They should contact police on 101 quoting serial 0421 21 April.”
