Crawley Town manager Mark Yates is calling on his players to step it up when they face Yeovil at home this afternoon.
He is expecting an improvement from the squad following last week’s poor 4-0 defeat at Mansfield.
Let’s crank things up a bit. The games don’t come any easier but hopefully we will start picking up some results. “It’s time we asked a bit more from each other and the players have reacted well in training.”Crawley Town manager Mark Yates
Reds will be boosted by their two new signings made on Thursday, former Watford central midfielder Ross Jenkins and striker Rhys Murphy who has come in loan from Oldham.
However they will be missing Gwion Edwards who is suspended and Matt Harrold who has pulled his hamstring.
Joe McNerney could return from a knee injury.
Yates said: “Yeovil are a big threat but haven’t won away from home yet - we are the home team and have got to score some goals.

“It’s time we asked a bit more from each other and the players have reacted well in training.
“We knew we didn’t perform well on Saturday but some good things came out of it and hopefully we will see the difference on Saturday.
“The only way to climb the table is to win games. Hopefully we are going to step it up and improve it as a group.
“Yeovil have seven, eight, ten injuries and I’m sure they won’t be where they are for long.
“Hopefully we will see an improvement and back to what we are good at on Saturday.
“The players knew we hadn’t done ourselves any justice at Mansfield.
“Saturday was just one of those days which hopefully we’ll be able to say was just a bad day at the office.”
Yates wants to see the start of a new winning run starting this weekend.
He said: “We’ve got to put a bit of pressure on ourselves to win some games and that starts immediately.
“Hopefully we’ll see a better performance, more like the ones we saw in the first five matches.”
