Crawley man dies two days after crash

A Crawley man has died in hospital two days after he was involved in a road crash in Sharpthone.

Kenneth Edmondson, 83, of Parkway, Pound Hill, died in East Surrey Hospital on Wednesday (April 8).

Mr Edmondson was seriously injured on Easter Monday (April 6) when his Mazda Premacy was in collision with a Landrover at 3.10pm in Plawhatch Lane, Sharpthorne, at the junction Grinstead Lane.

Sussex Police said the 22-year old Crawley Down man driving the Landrover was unhurt, and his passenger, a 30-year woman from East Grinstead, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
