Worthing teenager robbed

Police are seeking two Worthing street robbers who took a young man’s mobile and wallet in a New Year’s morning attack.

Shortly after 3am on Tuesday January 1 the 19-year old local man was walking home along Tarring Road, when he was attacked by two men just outside West Worthing railway station.

They punched him, pushed him to the ground and stole his mobile phone and wallet which contained a small amount of cash.

The victim sustained grazing and bruises and shaken but did not seek medical treatment at the time, although he went to Worthing Hospital for treatment later in the morning.

Detective Constable Lindsey Van Buiten said; “The two suspects are described as white, and about 17 years old. If you were out and about in West Worthing in the early hours of New Years Day and saw this pair, or anything suspicious, please call us on 101 quoting serial 0234 of 1/1. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
