Witness appeal follows serious Worthing collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Worthing yesterday (Thursday May 17).

At around 4.20pm a collision took place between a black Mercedes car and a blue Kawasaki motorcycle on Tarring Road.

The rider of the motorbike, a 33-year-old man from Worthing, was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital suffering from serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

He remains in hospital today (Friday).

The driver of the car, a 57-year-old man from Worthing, was taken to Worthing Hospital suffering from slight injuries.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1107 of 17/5.
