Pulborough resident Pip Jennings of the REAL Boat Race Crew, recently rowed a marathon at Pulborough RFC to raise funds for the children’s charity, Ickle Pickle.

This was in preparation for May’s 500 mile boat race from London to Paris. On February 2, each participant rowed 42,195 metres from 11.30am to 3.45pm.

Organiser and rower, Mrs Jennings, said: “This is a significant step in the training and preparation for the six day challenge that we begin on May 4.”
