VIDEO: snow and sleet mean miserable start to weekend in Horsham district
Horsham district residents woke to a snowy start this morning (Saturday March 23).
However, very little managed to lay and apart from some snow on car windscreens there was little evidence by mid-morning.
However, the already saturated ground has meant plenty of surface water and more potholes appearing on roads in the area.
Down the road in Crawley the snow was heavier though this too turned to sleet.
The Met Office forecast is for the rest of the day to be cold and overcast.
Tomorrow may see some light snow early in the morning but remaining overcast and bitterly cold in gusting north-east winds.
