A free exhibition showcasing the best paintings, sculpture, and pottery from across the area starts in Horsham today (Thursday August 14).
The yearly event, organised by the Association of Sussex Artists at the Drill Hall in Denne Road, runs until Saturday August 23, including Sunday from 10.30am to 5.00pm.
The exhibition closes at 3.30pm on Saturday August 23, but is open until 7.30pm on Thursday August 14.
Terry Copping, chairman of the Association of Sussex Artists, said: “An event such as ours takes a great deal of organisation and dedication, we have an excellent committee and many willing members that help to bring the whole thing together.”
The Association of Sussex Artists was formed in 1928 by a small group of local artists in order to encourage the arts in Horsham.
Membership is by selection, although it encourages non members to submit work with a view to eventually being accepted as members.
