VIDEO: Crawley Debate - changing face of homelessness

Waiting for Video...

Homelessness and housing were among the topics discussed at the Crawley Debate last nigt (Wednesday February 6).

Peter Mansfield-Clark, director of Crawley Open House, was one of the panel who answered questions from members of the public at the Civic Hall.

He spoke about the changing face of homelessness in Crawley and said: “If you suddenly become homeless - and it can happen almost over night - you cannot cope with it.

If you’ve been struggling all your life it’s just another emergency to cope with and it’s a lot easier for people to find the right places to go for help.”

See next week’s Observer for a full report about the debate.
