Waiting for Video...

Horsham District Council cabinet members met last night (Thursday) to discuss a range of matters, including finalising the Budget for 2013/14.

The cabinet has recommend the council to agree to freeze council tax for the fourth year in a row, a decision which will be confirmed at next month’s full council meeting.

Cabinet members also approved to take on new initiatives to prevent homelessness, work better with the public and other local authorities and support the Government’s Green Deal to help residents improve their homes to make them more energy efficient.

Although only the cabinet members were required to be present, many other members of the council chose to attend to contribute to the debate.

Watch the video to see HDC leader Ray Dawe’s summary of the meeting and the full write up will be in next week’s County Times.
