Vans targeted in tool thefts
Vans are being targeted in a spate of tool thefts across Crawley.
A Mercedes Sprinter van parked on Balcombe Road was broken into overnight on February 27.
Around 12 tools and machinery including drills and two laptops were taken.
Two drills and a tool box were stolen from a VW van parked on Green Lane in Crawley overnight on February 26.
One of the drills were found nearby but the other drill and tool box are still missing.
A Renault van parked in the carpark at Premier Inn on Balcombe Road was broken into overnight on March 1 with a number of tools taken.
Sergeant Jim Collen said: “We urge all van owners to remove anything which is valuable from their vans and make sure it is properly secured. We are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in these areas to contact police on 101.”
