Tracker device offers peace of mind for Arun’s carers

PEACE of mind is on the cards for carers tending to people with dementia following the release of an innovative GPS tracking device.

From March, people in Arun will able to join a new mobile service designed to help locate those with dementia during an emergency.

The Mindme alarm will be monitored by a 24/7, Chichester-based call centre. The device is small enough to fit inside a coat pocket and provides a real-time GPS link back to the centre, which can help locate the user during emergencies.

The alarm is bring made available for pre-order by Arun Lifeline, a service provided by Arun District Council. The units can be rented for a month at £27.50 a month excluding VAT. To order one, call 01903 737970.
