Two local teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, following a fight between several people outside a house in Rosslyn Road, Shoreham, yesterday (Wednesday October 17).

Police were called to the scene at around 6.10pm and found an 18-year-old local man with head injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to Worthing Hospital for treatment to a broken nose and cheek bone.

Detective Sergeant Chris Leech from West Sussex CID said: “This was a particularly violent attack by several men on a single victim.

“Fortunately, a member of the community quickly reported it to police and the injured man was taken to hospital and arrests were made a short time afterwards.

“Officers will be continuing with house to house enquiries today and I would appeal to anyone who has information and has not yet spoken to police to do so. You can call 101 quoting serial 1457 of 17/10 or leave a message anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“Also, if anyone in the community has concerns then please feel free to approach our officers.”

A 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old man remain in custody for questioning.
