Public consultation on new Chichester Free School

TONIGHT is the first of two public consultations on the new Chichester Free School.

The public consultation is ongoing until February 18, and the school has invited people to share their thoughts and opinions on the proposal to create the school, which will cater for children from the ages of four to 19.

Consultation began on January 7 and lasts until February 18.

The school proposes to open in September this year in Chichester, the site of which is set to be announced in the next few weeks.

The last day applications for places can be submitted is Thursday, January 31, by visiting www.chichesterfreeschool.org.uk

The proposers are holding two public consultation drop-in meetings where people can hear what the school offers and give their feedback on the plans.

They will be held at 60a, North Street, Chichester, PO19 1NB. The first is tonight and the second is Monday, February 11, both between 6pm and 8pm.

Further details are available on the website, and there is also a questionnaire at www.chichesterfreeschool.org.uk/consultation

The proposers said the focus for the new school is to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum alongside challenging co-curricular opportunities, and ensuring pupils could achieve their full potential.
