SMALL business owners had the chance for a frank talk about crime in Bognor Regis.
Members of the Arun branch of the Federation of Small Businesses met Sussex Police’s district Chief Inspector Jane Derrick and Sergeant Roy Hodder.
CI Derrick made it clear to the meeting at the Phoenix Centre on Westloats Lane the help of businesses was essential in the fight against crime.
Ray Abrahams, the federation’s regional development manager, said: “She applauded the assistance given by local business owners and the general public.”
Her comments were followed by crime statistics from Sgt Hodder which showed a large reduction between 2011 and 2012.
“The meeting concluded with a very lively question and answer session during which Sussex Police gave very honest and frank answers,” said Mr Abrahams.
“Those present are looking forward to the next meeting and are positive that they make a significant contribution towards crime reduction in the future following this meeting.”
