Police appeal for witnesses following assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted in Pease Pottage Hill, close to the K2 leisure centre, on Monday (March 18).

At around 5.25pm the 22 and 23-year-old victims, both from Crawley, were assaulted by another man. A Sussex Police spokesman said the attack was not believed to be random.

The pair received cuts and bruising to hands, arms, face and legs.

A 21-year-old man from Crawley has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He was questioned and bailed until Friday April 12.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1236 of 18/3 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
