Man jailed for 13 years for child sex offences

A computer engineer has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for making indecent images of children and for sexual assaults on children.

Andrew Cilia, 50, of Ivory Walk, Bewbush, was sentenced at Brighton Crown Court on Thursday (March 21) having pleaded guilty at a previous hearing at Hove Crown Court on February 15.

He was sentenced for 15 offences relating to taking and making indecent images of children, and sexual assaults on children.

The offences were: five counts of making indecent photographs of children, three counts of taking indecent photographs of children, six counts of sexual assaults on children, and one of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
