Worthing and Adur election results as they happen

ADUR and Worthing councils will hold a joint count after the local elections – a first for West Sussex.

In previous years the election counts have been held immediately after polls closed at 10pm today (Thursday, May 1), but this year the two councils will hold their counts simultaneously tomorrow (Friday, May 2).

The counts, together with the Lancing Parish Council count, will be held at Worthing Assembly Hall, in Stoke Abbott Road, Worthing, from 9am.

Results for the councils will be declared throughout the morning – and the Herald will be there to bring you live updates as they happen.

Our reporters will be at the count bringing you the atmosphere of the occasion and the results as they are announced, via the websites www.worthingherald.co.uk and www.shorehamherald.co.uk
