What do you think of Neighbourhood Plans?

Cranleigh

Cranleigh

A meeting is being held to discuss the future of Cranleigh’s community.

Anyone interested in having their say on development, planning and community issues can attend the event at the Village Hall, High Street on January 13, 2014 from 7.30pm.

Only Cranleigh residents and business owners are eligible to contribute to Cranleigh’s Neighbourhood Plan.

What do you think of neighbourhood plans? They are a key constituent of the Government’s Localism Act - but what will they achieve and are their inherent dangers?

The County Times will be investigating the issue over the coming months as more and more parish councils and communities prepare their plans.

Are you involved in determining a plan? What issues have you been confronted with? What opportunities do they offer?
