A nine-year-old Storrington girl has told of how a coach she was travelling on burst into flames during a school trip on Friday January 25.

Lucy Rowsell was among around 60 other children and teachers from Storrington First School when a blaze broke out in the engine during a day visit to Beaulieu Motor Museum.

Police and fire crews are responding to a fire on a coach travelling on London Road near the Whiteways Lodge Roundabout in Arundel.

The fire happened at around 8.45am this morning (Friday 25 January). The coach was carrying around 60 people, which included a number of children.

Two children have been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and everyone else on board the coach is safe and well and are all on board another coach. The children are being cared for by the adults they were travelling with.

There will be some traffic disruption in the area while the coach is cleared from the area.
