MORE than 50 people turned out for the launch meeting of a campaign to re-open the subway at Shoreham railway station to level crossing users.
Shoreham Society called the public meeting at St Peter’s Church hall, West Street, last night to look for answers to long delays at the Buckingham Road level crossing.
Representatives from Network Rail were on hand to answer questions from the floor, including many about the long waits, sometimes up to ten minutes.
There was a great deal of discussion, with the society keen to see the subway re-opened to non-train users, as it would be the cheapest solution.
