CELEBRATIONS were heard round Shoreham College as it announced its best performance since 2005.
A total of 91.8 per cent of students received five A* to C grades.
Head teacher Jim Stearns said: “Our last independent school inspection told us that our teachers not only have a good knowledge of their subjects, but use them to both challenge and motivate their pupils.
“It is this motivation that has made it possible for our pupils to succeed so well in thier GCSEs.”
The school’s star pupil was Tom Halmos, 16, who gained nine A*.
He said: “It is unbelievable, I am so happy and put a lot of work in.”
