Crawley’s Dragon Boat Festival looks set to raise £50,000 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The festival, which took place in Tilgate Park on Sunday (September 1) saw 30 teams pitted against each other to race 40-ft boats across Tilgate Lake.
In the final, first place went to Smith & Western, who completed the course in 57.20 seconds.
Tuplin were second (57.78), CGG were third (58.46), followed by Gatwick Airport (59.27), Gatwick Honda (1.00.02) and Nuffield Health & Fitness (1.00.70).
A spokesman for St Catherine’s said: “We are on track to raise £50,000 from the Dragon Boat Festival.”
