Police have revealed descriptions of two suspects after an arson attack at a house in Horley.
Firefighters were called to a house on the corner of Court Lodge Road and Roffey Close at around 8.30pm last night (Sunday November 1).
Two dogs were in the property but were unharmed. Two residents in a neighbouring house had to be evacuated.
Two teenage youths were seen in the area at the time of the incident who officers are keen to identify.
They are described as white and aged between 15 and 17-years-old.
One of the boys had blonde cropped hair, around 5ft 7ins in height and of thin build, wearing trainers, dark clothing and a hooded jacket.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Gray, said: “At this stage in the investigation officers are treating these males as suspects and I would ask that if you have your suspicions around someone you know please share this information with us.”
Reigate and Banstead acting Inspector Dan Gutierrez said: “Local officers from the Reigate and Banstead Safer Neighbourhood Team are assisting detectives with their investigation by making a number of enquiries in the area.
“Understandably this incident may cause concern in the local community and I would ask anyone who would like to talk to someone about it to contact their local neighbourhood team on 101 or approach an officer on duty.
“We will be providing additional patrols in the area following the fire to help reassurance residents.”
The house is currently inhabitable and the occupants are residing elsewhere.
