Teenager in hospital after falling from fairground ride on Worthing seafront

A TEENAGER has been taken to hospital after falling from a fairground ride on Worthing seafront this evening, police have confirmed (Thursday, April 17).

Police and paramedics were called to the scene at 9.30pm and the female teenager was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

A spokesman said: “Police were called to Marine Parade at 9.30pm to a report of a medical incident.

“A teenager had fallen from one of the rides and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. The extent of her injuries is not currently known.

“The health and safety executive are aware and will follow it up tomorrow.”

Police officers have now left the scene.
