ENTERPRISING students scooped several awards at the finals of business competition for young entrepreneurs from across the South Downs.
Steyning Grammar School’s year-12 Young Enterprise companies Wrapped-Up and Prism Audio won four awards between them at the South Downs Young Enterprise final at Worthing Assembly Hall.
Prism Audio won best product/service for their Bluetooth speaker and Wrapped-Up won best presentation, best customer service and best overall company.
Wrapped-Up received a cheque for £100 towards expanding the company.
James Hansford, managing director of Wrapped-Up said the company was delighted to have won the best-company award.
“We believe our product celebrates the fantastic variety of local fare in our region,” he said.
“We have learnt so many skills from negotiating with suppliers to managing our cash flow.”
Steyning Grammar School head Nick Wergan said both teams had shown fantastic entrepreneurship and business acumen.
“They have great products and business plans and will be forces to be reckoned with in the future,” he said.
