Pulborough house badly damaged by fire

A house in Pulborough was badly damaged by a fire on Sunday morning (July 27).

Fire crews from Storrington, Billingshurst, Worthing and Bognor attended the scene at the detached house in Tudor Court at about 6.40am.

Firefighters used four hose reels, six breathing apparatus, two ladders and an additional covering hose reel to battle the flames.

Twenty per cent of the house was damaged by fire and 80 per cent by heat and smoke.

A positive pressure ventilation fan was used.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fire crews departed from the area at about 8.20am.
