Pip’s hunt for a home filmed for television

Waiting for Video...

ONE of the animals featured in the Herald’s Dog of the Week column has been filmed for national television.

The hunt for a home for Pip, a two-year-old collie cross, was taken up by Watch TV, as part of filming for a 10-part series about Shoreham business House of Hugo.

The television company planned a special feature on Pip to continue the search for a home but last Tuesday, the night before filming, a potential owner was found.

John Hatch spent the evening with Pip and decided he would give the dog a home, so the filming changed to focus on that instead.

Researcher Megan Bay Dorman said: “We are currently filming a series about House of Hugo, a luxury dog hotel, dog day care centre and a whole lot more.

“The series will be broadcast on Watch TV in the autumn, and has already been picked up by other countries, too.

“The owners of House of Hugo, Matt and Leon Henderson-Rood, are great supporters of the trust.

“A particular dog, Pip, came to their attention as she had not had any luck finding a home, for at least six months.”

Matt and Leon helped the campaign to get Pip adopted, arranging a session with celebrity groomer Colin Taylor and professional photoshoot with Rhian White at Brighton Dog Photography.
