VANDALS have again been targeting the pay and display machine at the Old Fort car park on Shoreham Beach.

On Wednesday, July 16, a plastic fork was glued into the coin slot and return tray.

Then, the council was advised last Friday by car park operator NSL that the padlock to the cage had been glued together.

A spokesman for Adur Council said the first incident happened while the cage was open.

“Luckily the pay and display team managed to remove them and the machine is fully operational.”

Both incidents were reported to Sussex Police.
