A man has appeared in court after approximately five kilos of cocaine with a street value of up to £500,000 was seized at Gatwick Airport.
The drugs were discovered on Sunday (September 29) when officers stopped a 43-year-old who had arrived on a flight from Trinidad.
Sherwin Selkridge, from Trinidad, appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court on Monday (September 30) charged with attempted importation.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody. He will next appear at Croydon Crown Court on October 14.
