THE audience went wild when an Upper Beeding mum stepped into the ring at Circus Wonderland last night.

Lisa Sampson, 34, known as Boogie Hoops, performed a stunning display of hula-hoop skills in the Big Top, her first time in the circus spotlight.

Maureen Carter, from Circus Wonderland, said: “Last night was Lisa’s debut in the ring and the audience went wild with rapturous applause.

“Speaking with Lisa this morning, she is still on a high and said she’d love to do it all over again.

“We have invited her to perform for the rest of our stay here in Shoreham.”

Lisa will be in tonight’s show on Adur Recreation Ground in Shoreham at 7pm, Saturday at 2pm and 7pm, and Sunday, the last show, at 2pm.
