DELIVERY by grab and tip lorry was just one of the ways students chose to arrive for their Leavers’ Ball.
Shoreham College students from year 11 arrived on a beautiful summer’s evening to a fruit cocktail reception to start the farewell event.
Pupils turned out in their finery to be greeted by staff, parents and photographers for the leaving do, which was in the Lewis Hall at the college, in St Julian’s Lane, Shoreham.
Transport ranged from a Harley Davidson, Aston Martin, vintage Bentley and Morgan 3 Wheeler to a horse, a fleet of mobility scooters and the grab and tip lorry.
The students were seated for a lavish three-course dinner, which was cooked on-site by the college’s own gourmet chefs.
Before the meal was served, the teenagers took it in turns to write comments in the presentation leavers’ books, which awaited them at the tables.
A fun awards presentation ceremony followed, with pupils being given certificates for various ‘most likely to’ categories.
A double decker bus arrived at 10pm to take all the pupils on to a private after-party.
