Get into the festive spirit at Buchan Country Park at Crawley this December by joining some of their Christmas activities.
Due to the popularity of last month’s Night Hike, a second event has been arranged for Friday December 14 (6pm-8pm).
Visitors will be able to find out about the nighttime wildlife during a one-mile trek around the park before warming up with some hot drinks.
The hike costs £4 per person and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Lionel Barnard, County Council Deputy Leader responsible for the environment, said: “These events are very popular and we’re delighted that more have been planned.
“They not only provide an enjoyable way to get out and about, but they can be a great opportunity to meet new people.”
Buchan Country Park will also be celebrating the winter solstice on Saturday December 15 (3pm-5pm) with ‘Lights and Lanterns’.
You can create magic lanterns to banish the winter gloom and listen to stories as darkness falls.
Tickets cost £4 per person (children must be accompanied by an adult).
Or why not learn more about ancient fire lighting on Saturday December 22 (10am-1pm)?
Find out about the gathering and using the right materials to build a traditional campfire.
Tickets cost £5 per person, which includes a hot drink and marshmallows.
Advance booking is essential for each of these events as places are limited.
