DOGS Trust has launched a microchipping campaign, ahead of a new law that will make it compulsory for all UK dogs from April 2016.

The free Microchipping Through Vets campaign launched at the start of the month and will run for a year.

The charity will provide free microchips to all vet practices that sign up.

Chief executive Clarissa Baldwin said: “We are delighted about the proposed new legislation and see it as the start of a very positive movement.”

Call the hotline on 0330 123 0334 to find vets taking part.
