DANCERS took part in a charity showcase to help young homeless people.

A total of 40 pupils from Brooks Dance Academy in Gordon Road, Shoreham, performed at the Shoreham Centre on Saturday.

Academy founder Jackie Brooks said: “This was a lovely Christmassy event, which involved musical theatre, dance, soloists, carols, mince pies and mulled wine.

“Over 150 people came to support this great event and we were very pleased to raise £500 for the Clock Tower Sanctuary, which is a local charity which helps young homeless people.”

The dance school has pupils aged from three and, as well as weekly dance classes and exams, they take part in shows and local festivals.

Jackie added: “This year, 15 of our pupils are performing in the pantomime Aladdin at Ropetackle over Christmas.”
