A bus was wrecked in a fire on the A23 near Pyecombe yesterday (Wednesday September 25).
Emergency services were called to the scene, on the southbound stretch, just after 4pm.
The 56-seater bus was well alight.
One passenger and the driver were taken off the vehicle safely.
A young girl was assessed by ambulance paramedics for a pre-existing medical condition.
The police were in attendance for traffic control due to poor visibility on the road from smoke.
