A ten-year-old boy who was reported missing in Broadbridge Heath earlier today (Sunday June 29) has been found this evening, Sussex Police have said.
A police spokesperson said officers including a police helicopter had been ‘extensively searching’ for the boy over the course of the afternoon.
Police were called at around 5.30pm, and the boy was found at about 8.10pm following a call from a member of the public.
The spokesperson said the family had been out walking in woods between Warnham Road and Robin Hood Lane when the boy had run off.
He was found safe and well walking nearby.
The police helicopter had been using a thermal imaging camera in attempt to find the boy, the spokesperson added.
