THE UK’s top jive band will swing Shoreham to raise money for the Adur chairman’s charities.
Cllr Mike Mendoza has managed to secure The Jive Aces on one of their few spare dates this year for the event on Sunday, September 29.
The band, which performed for both the Olympic and Paralympic celebrations, will head up a programme of great musicians at the Shoreham Centre, in Pond Road.
Mr Mendoza said: “The Jive Aces appear all over and are billed as the number one swing band in the UK.
“Keith Ball will be with us with his tribute to his late father, Kenny Ball, and there will also be several other leading acts.”
The event, which is raising money for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice and the Say No to Drugs campaign, runs from 4pm to 9pm.
Tickets are £15 in advance, or £20 on the door. Visit tiny.cc/shorehamevents to book or telephone 01273 462213.
Mr Mendoza added: “I wanted to make this show accessible and affordable to all in the district.”
