Flights to the Iraqi capital Baghdad have resumed for the first time in 23 years.

Iraqi Airways was due to make its first regular scheduled departure from Gatwick Airport last night (Tuesday March 5). Iraq’s national carrier will make three flights a week to and from Gatwick.
